Yes, the bitch is back

The spring is back in my step again. It feels really good. I actually got to eat today.

First of all, I need to wish a very happy and very belated birthday to another one of my blogosphere buddies, Heather. Apparently not only did I lose 5 pounds during my illness, but also my mind. Heather, I hope you had a wonderful day!

I am happy to report that I did not kill Chachi today. However, I did significantly freak him out by pretending I was licking his mouse. He is so easy.

Lunchtime today was a visit to the amazing Celeste, who did a MicroPeel on my face. Basically, they take a small surgical blade and scrape the top layer of your face off. Yes, it was slightly uncomfortable around my mouth, but other than that and being kind of rosy pink all afternoon, I'm anxious to see what my skin looks like next week.

Oh, and this morning, I came into the kitchen to find approximately 10 kajillion sugar ants on my counter. And no one hates ants more than I do. Apparently, the gully-washer rainstorm we had yesterday drove the suckers inside, so the exterminator came and totally bombed our house tonight. And in typical luck, we have company coming for dinner on Saturday and these people are totally anal freaks about stuff so I am praying that all of these little critters are long gone. It totally pisses me off because my kitchen is spotless. It's easy to keep that way when you don't cook much, ha ha.

I have a lot of other things to talk about but my brain is about dead. Tomorrow, our weekend plans, the Great Pimiento Cheese Contest in which I hope to kick some old lady's ass, and how my two husbands are apparently playing golf together this weekend. Be afraid, be very afraid.
