Maybe a sledgehammer would do the trick

It wasn't very nice of me to disappear since Tuesday, was it?

Well, it wasn't very nice of my head to decide to explode this week, either.

I am on Day 4 of cluster migraine hell. At least I'm able to function with cluster migraines versus the full-blown type, thanks to Excedrin. My liver might be failing, but my head is at least not feeling like it's being torn in half by a rabid wolf.

Last night we had tae kwan do and the Badasses decided that we should all go get some Mexican afterwards. Imagine 5 kids, ranging from 5 to 1, all yelling at once (and the occasional shriek that reminded me of something a pterodactyl would do). Gah, if my head wasn't already hurting, I came home to curl up in the fetal position. And I might be mistaken, but I think we actually got a standing ovation from the other patrons of the restaurant when we left. It was bad. Really bad. Even Monkey Man said "my friends were wild today!" That's bad coming from a 5-year-old, isn't it?

So here's to hoping that it will go away. That soon I'll be back to my normal self instead of remaining at my desk in the dark with the door shut. That I'll be able to talk to my friends on the phone without sounding like I'm on death's doorstep. That I'll be able to hit the road to Blacksburg tomorrow and have a great day with Joey and Monkey Man. Hope, hope, hope.
