You know how if you pour salt on a slug, they basically shrivel up into nothing?
That's how we both feel this morning. Last night, we went with the usual crew to the Brazillian steakhouse here in town. Basically, it's an all-you-can-snarf extravaganza of meat. Don't come here looking for seafood or chicken, because it ain't here. Beef, lamb, and pork were the meats of choice, all slow-roasted and coated in salt.
"Hey, guys bringing all kinds of meat on a stick to your table - how can that be bad?" Joey asked. Well, you could go into kidney failure for starters. I swear, my kidneys are barely functioning this morning. I got on the scale and was up 3.5 pounds from yesterday. Needless to say, I'm rehydrating with lots of Propel and Gatorade and hoping that I will feel better this afternoon. All I can taste in my mouth is salt, salt, and more salt.
This will be a low-key weekend - other than seeing Transformers and probably a trip to Costco, we will be laying pretty low. Reaaaal low. We have a few weeks coming up where we're gone every weekend so I probably need to catch up on some sleep and get my fat ass on the treadmill since I ate my weight in beef last night. Blech.
Have a great day, y'all. I'm going to just sit here with my IV's in until it's time to go home.

My lovely wife cackles when she pours salt on slugs. (It is kinda spooky) I hope you feel better.
THAT is my favorite kind of restaurant. The one here closed. I'm coming to visit you, girlfriend!
