The lottery

Am I the only one that thinks the Geico cavemen commercials are just stupid?

Today was the first Monday that I've worked in four weeks. Pretty impressive statistics if I do say so myself. Two weeks I was sick, then last week I was on vacation. So once I got to thinking about this being the first full week I've worked in four weeks, I got kind of down in the dumps. Eventually, the Virginia Lottery will come through for me and I can leave all this glamour behind. If I remember to buy a ticket.

Have you ever thought about what you would do if you won the lottery? Would you quit your job, would you never work again, what would you buy?

If I won, I'd probably still work. Not full-time, and maybe not even at the company I've been with for almost 12 years now, but I will always work doing something. We'd probably stay in our same house. It's perfect for us and we've put so much love and work into the house that I can't imagine being anywhere else. But yes, I would also buy myself a Porsche. And maybe get Joey one too. If he was good. And also hire a half-naked man to be my, ahem, assistant. I have my needs, you know.

So what would you do if you won? Share your thoughts in the comments. I'm curious.

The lottery?

I'd like to think that I wouldn't change a lot - we like the neighborhood so maybe just some 'minor' remodeling. A couple new cars. Share some with the family.

I'd like to look at a cottage in the country, a chalet in the mountains, and a hut on a beach.

Welcome back. I have often thought of what I would do, and how much I'd need. To curry God's favor I'd have to win 4M. 2 for me and 2 for Him.

I'd be a full time photographer (with a Porsche too) and some really cool camera gear going to exotic places to take pictures of half naked women. (We all have needs ;)

Love ya, mean it!

if i won the lottery?

i'd pay off all our debt. then i'd quit my job and start taking all the stupid little jobs i've always wanted to have if making a living weren't mandatory...like going to beauty school and becoming a hairdresser...going to real estate school and becoming a realtor...running a cash register at target...working at the zoo...

i'd buy new furniture. i'd add a bigger, better kitchen to our house and expand our dining room. i'd re-do all 3 bathrooms (including installing a shower in the downstairs one). i'd buy a new honda. i'd hire a very mary-poppins-ish nanny to stay with moosebaby for the next 2 years til he's old enough for the Best Preschool Ever. i'd have my housekeeper come every week instead of every other week. and my feet would never, ever reach the state of disrepair they are currently in again.

yes, i've thought about this--a lot.

I'd quit work for awhile to be the general contractor on our house remodel--gut the master bath, hardwood floors all over and a knock out in the back to expand the kitchen and do it right. Then I'd go to culinary school and be a personal chef where I could work around the kids schedules. And there would be a new, not a minivan vehicle in my garage. Oh to dream!
