I am dead dog ass tired.
Y'all would be proud of me - last night, in an effort to not be crippled with soreness today, I ran a mile and then lifted weights.
Today, I was very busy at work and then had a kind of emotional rollercoaster day with Former Flaky Friend who has reemerged on the scene. I'll eventually write about it when I figure out how the hell I feel about it all.
Then it was the 7 PM tae kwon do class - God, I can't wait for our contract to be over in November. I feel horrible saying that, because my mom spent half of my childhood hauling me all over New Jersey to a different lesson or class every day of the week except Sundays. But working full time and trying to get everything else done doesn't leave me much time for taking Monkey Man to TKD twice weekly.
So now, I must collapse. Tomorrow, I will rise from the dead and have a better day. I will get to work on time. I will get a haircut and color. And hopefully, no one will bring Krispy Kremes so I won't be forced to eat two of them just because they were HOT and sitting there.
I am pathetic.
Oh, and I have to send out props to Monkey Man, who made it through his first dental appointment with zero cavities and Dr. Greg shined those teeth so purty and white it's amazing. He was a total champ. All night he kept saying, "If I drink water, will it keep from messing my teeth up?" All said while spraying a shower of Oreo crumbs. That's my boy!

Congrats, Monkey Man! That's awesome about your teeth!
Good job on hitting the treadmill & weights. I know it is not always easy, but it does make one feel much better.
I cannot wait to hear about Flakey Former Friend.
Oh, I hear you about TKD. I paid for two months, then N told me the next days that he really did not want to go. I have to say that it is a considerable time commitment and I do not think he is old enough to "get it" yet. I, too, was taken all over time for music lessons, soccer practice, etc., and do not know how my mom remained sober. Seriously. It's tough!
Oh the image that was just in my head. I came here from reading your commando comment on Mama Maven's pantyless Monday post, then read your title "The old gray mare she ain't what she used to be".
You see where I might be going?
Hope you have a better day tomorrow (today), good job MM with the chompers.
Rock on Monkey Man! Rock on Builder Mama!
