I think I got about 2 hours of sleep last night, best case scenario. Between being wired up on decongestant and still having the chills and achiness, I tossed and turned all night long.
I knew I had a few things to take care of at the office this morning so I slogged through getting ready (which having sweat rolling down your back after you've already showered kind of defeats the whole purpose of showering in the first place) and managed to drag my sorry ass into the office. I drank a little water and ate a few mini-muffins so that I could take my antibiotic. I skipped the decongestant because yo, I was still shaky from the night before.
By the time I got to work, my stomach was absolutely killing me. And one by one, the girls in the office paraded in and told me about the killer stomach virus they all had over the weekend. Starting with fever. Then aches and chills. Then vomiting and if you won the super secret bonus round, diarrhea to follow.
Oh fuck.
I made it until 11:15 when I had to run for the ladies' room and there went the mini-muffins. This shit is supposed to last about 12 hours, but thankfully I've been able to keep down some toast and applesauce and I drove home with a trashcan in my front seat and staggered over to the bed and crashed. Eventually I made it to the sofa and slept for about 2 hours and then the rest of the time tossed and turned because I was so achy. The good thing is that they had Work Out on most of the afternoon, and then when that was over I caught Snapped! Damn, these women that kill their husbands amaze me...do they really think they're going to get away with it?
So here I sit - I'm about 5 episodes in on Snapped! and hoping that I don't have to pick Monkey Man up because I feel like death on a stick. Dipped in shit and rolled in peanut butter.
Oh, but I did get my acrylic tube ordered today. Apparently there is only one company in the United States that makes this specific size of tube, and the stupid thing is coming from Boise, Idaho. Yee haw! You wouldn't believe the architectural nightmare we're going to have to do with this tube.
Oh, oh, oh - and in way more exciting work news, I am on a new project with a new project manager. A Whole Foods Market. When I found that out, my heart sang and the heavens opened and I heard the choir of angels. Or maybe it was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Whatever.

Hope you are feeling better soon. Hope that EPOD can keep things together without you there to keep him in line. Hope your pipe is exactly what you need when you need it!

At least there is peanut butter. :) Feel better soon.
Well, there is the Whole Foods thing to look forward to...UGH. I hope things are better today!
Where the hell is Whole Foods going? I hope it is near me.
Eeuff. I am sorry you are so sick. But holy YAY on Whole Foods. I love Whole Foods. LOVE LOVE LOVE.
H to the L - it's going in out at the West Broad Village development. They're packing about $100 million worth of crap out there. Unfortunately, not close to me but I suspect I'll be making frequent detours to run in there.
