This is how we roll

Today, my girlfriends and I met up for our usual Friday afternoon drunkfest, but today was special. It was my friend Christine's 40th birthday. Not that we need an excuse to drink.

The five of us holed up in a corner in the bar area and proceeded to down multiple appetizers and liquid concoctions. Let's just say that The Legend of Lynchburg Lizzy Lu-Lu is still intact, even after all these years. I think I even won over a few converts. Anyhow, all of us but one have at least one child (and the last one of us is due with Baby #1 in December) and most of the other girls have kids that are in the 10 - 11 year old range.

Apparently, midterm grades were coming out today....

C: So, we promised the boys that we'd take them out for a special treat if their midterms were good.

A: Really? Where did they want to go?

C: Hooters. That is their absolute favorite place to go. They will do absolutely anything to go to Hooters, especially Matt because he hopes the waitress will hug him.

S: God, C, that's awful!

A: Well, they are boys.

S: At this rate, by high school you'll have to take them to a strip club if they make honor roll.

C: Hey, whatever works....

God, I love hanging out with those guys.
